Americans kidnapped in mexico


 

The news of the first of four Americans kidnapped in Mexico has been identified as a cause for concern. On March 6th, 2020, Mexican authorities confirmed that one American had been abducted from their home in Puerto Vallarta and taken to an unknown location. The other three are still missing and presumed to be held by the same group responsible for this abduction. 


This incident is only the latest example of kidnappings occurring throughout Mexico over recent months and years – a worrying trend that appears to be on the rise across many parts of Latin America’s second-largest nation. It serves as yet another reminder that travelers should exercise caution when visiting or living in any foreign country, particularly those with high levels of crime such as Mexico.
