Mosquitoes are found in abundance in tropical areas and can also survive the winter in countries with lower temperatures such as Canada. There are over 3,000 types of mosquitoes and all have the ability to transfer population killing diseases. Thanks to its ability to spread diseases with an alarming efficiency, the mosquito makes its way into #1.

The Box Jellyfish (also known as a Sea Wasp) is a very dangerous creature to inhabit Australian waters. It only weighs 4.5 pounds, it has 15 tentacles that can reach up to 10 feet. Their venom emits a glow that will scare off other sea creatures. They feed on shrimps, small fishes, and other box jellyfish. The Jellyfish has extreme toxins present on its tentacles, which when in contact with a human, can stop cardio-respiratory functions in as little as three minutes. It has tentacles covered with cnidocysts that produce nematocysts. As it pierces through the skin and enters the wound, it will cause blood pressure elevation, cardiac arrest, and eventually, death upon the victim.

It is, however, very rare for humans to be bitten and in the few cases that have occurred, anti-venom treatment has been successful. This snake exhibits dramatic seasonal changes in skin colour. It is light in summer and dark in winter and this helps regulate its body temperature.

The African Elephant has loads and loads of brute strength. It also happens to be the largest and most powerful animal in the world having zero predators. It lives in the bushes and forests of Africa and also found in some parts of Asia. Elephants are famous for their friendly outlook and memory. The Rage in elephants rises once in a blue moon but it is really grave. They are extremely smart and have long memories brought about by their massive 11-pound brain. They can hear anyone coming from afar because of their big ears. They can smell anything and anyone from a mile away. Although elephants are herbivores, they nevertheless pose a threat to the humans especially when they trample on their houses in the villages. Elephants are said to kill around 600 people every year mainly through stamping.

It can sense any action because of its sensory organ on the head called the Ampullae of Lorenzini. These sharks do not particularly target humans but most of their attacks are ‘test-bites’ where they are curious about how the human (an unfamiliar object for the shark) tastes. But of course its first bite is enough to kill a man.

African Lion is known as the King of the Jungle for its sharp claws, amazing speed of 50 miles per hour and deadly teeth. A full-grown male lion is about 6 inches taller than a tiger and weighs anywhere from 330 to 550 lbs (150-250 kgs), averaging 400. It hunts in groups and stalks its prey before attacking, running in bursts of up to 50 miles per hour. These lions hunt humans more often because they are wounded, old, have lost their natural prey sources, or simply like the taste of human meat.

The Australian Saltwater Crocodile is the largest living reptile and the largest riparian predator. This is the oldest reptile which can be found in Asia, Africa and Australia. They live in salt water and rivers therefore they are called saltwater crocodile. Their size ranges from 5 to 20 feet. This is one of the most dangerous animals of the planet. It is a terrifying predator with the strongest bite. It uses its bite to hold on to its prey while it uses its famous ‘death-roll’ to suffocate and drown its prey. Its jaws can insert 3,000 pounds of pressure per square inch and that is more than enough to kill a 150-300 pound man. It preys on not only fish but also birds, mammals, and other predators. It is said to kill about 2000 people every year.

Cape buffalos are resident of Africa and belong to the African bovine family of buffalos. They move always in the form of a herd. It is extremely aggressive and unpredictable. It can weigh between 1200-1800 pounds. Due to its dangerous nature and the threat it poses to humans, it is also known as The Black Death in Africa. It kills humans by often goring or trampling them to death. And the weird thing is that they attack without any need for provocation.

They kill more humans on average each year than all African animals combined. This is a massive statistic when you think about it. Hippos are known for their huge mouth and they can weigh as much as 8000 pounds. Although they are slow and can run maximum at 20 miles per hour but when it comes to their mouth they can surely open it more than 4 feet to swallow their enemy. They are territorial animals that simply want to be left alone and given their space. If we do neither, we will pay with our life. This is why they are naturally deadly.

The Polar Bear is said to be the most carnivorous bear, and is considered to be the largest bear in the world with exceptionally large males that weigh up to 1,400 pounds and stand over 8 feet tall on its hind legs. So, yes a single slap can easily kill us. They attract humans with their white fur and black noses. However, we often forget that polar bears are hunters, which mainly get their food by eating seals, walruses or whales. Sometimes they even attack humans they don’t consider us as normal prey, as the flesh of other carnivores is highly disliked. However, whenever polar bears feel threatened, they will charge at us, or when they are hungry, they might seek human flesh, though not often. Polar bears live all across the Arctic region, in Russia, Scandinavia, Alaska and Canada. But their numbers are falling quickly. Polar bears do most of their hunting on sea ice.
